maths learning story

Timata’s maths learning story

I am doing the pc students that there are 220 but 132 wear lavalavas with strong identities
In maths, I have been learning about percentages
What they have in common is they all have percentages in maths we been learning I been trying to
solve the problem First I did a number line then zero percent which means there are no boys in class
one hundred two hundred twenty percent for means all of the boys then I put fifty percent underneath
and one hundred ten for half of it. So I put seventy for ten percent then counted in tens when I got to
half I got confused.

Then I counted in the twenties but when I got to one hundred eight so I did add thirty that made two
hundred ten Then ten to make two hundred twenty. But it did not make any scenes but sixty-two
percent was one hundred thirty-two and that is how I found it out Its 132 students.

I don’t really like doing maths, maths is so hard because the problems are just so challenging.
It has been challenging

PE learning story

We have been learning about teamwork. Teamwork is where a
team are working together and when they agree on things.
They work well they support each other they plan and play fair.
They train hard to get better. When we encourage each other
they do it we did dodgeball for p.e we had to try to get the other
team out.
I really like working as a team when someone has two balls
they give a ball to the person next to them.
I didn’t like how I mostly couldn't get the ball because
I was at the back so next time I will stay in the front so I can get
the ball better.
My next steps on contributing in p.e are to help my team and
support them.  I can participate by giving my team feedback
and encouragement It can also make your family proud you could
also huddle up and plan.

swimming learning story

Swimming can help people to be safe in the water. It might even save someone’s life.

This term all the Year 6’s went to the Cannon Creek pools. On the way to the pools we sang matariki
songs. When we got to the pools we waited for our turn while the junior kids had their half an
hour lesson. The year sixes got changed and when we came out we waited on the steps. I had a little game with Sylvain and Dezil. We had a game of rock, paper, scissors. Then the juniors came out
of the pool then we went in.

I improved on my rocket arms and how to go faster by kicking my legs in the water.

I used key competency of relating to others by cheering my team on when they needed it.

I also used the key competency of managing myself. For example, I helped myself by making myself
think I can do better.
